The Texas State Wireless Association has established the "TXWA Keith Harris Scholarship Fund." TXWA hosts numerous charity events to raise money in Keith's honor and is now able to provide scholarships for qualified students.

TXWA Keith Harris Scholarship Information:

We are now accepting the TXWA Keith Harris Scholarship applications for the 2012 Spring semester. To be eligible, the student must be enrolled full-time in their graduate or undergraduate studies at an accredited Texas College or University. Please feel free to forward this email and information along to any friend or family member that you know who is enrolled in college. This semester TXWA will offer scholarships to three (3) students.  There will be a $3,000.00, $2,000.00, and $1,000.00 scholarship awarded.  THE DEADLINE TO SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS IS TUESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2012.

FALL 2011 TXWA KEITH HARRIS SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS:

Ashlee Sherman ($3,000.00 Scholarship Winner)

The TXWA and scholarship committee would like to congratulate Houston native Ashlee Sherman as winner of the Keith Harris Fall 2011 Semester $3,000.00 scholarship award. Ashlee is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas.  She is majoring in Electrical Engineering.  During this past summer, Ashlee completed a summer engineering intern project that supported the opening of a Gas Turbine Engine Service Center in Petropolis, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. She is a member of many activities associated to her field of study and Ashlee plans on graduating in May of 2014. TXWA is proud to be able to contribute and be a part of Ashlee's road to success as she continues her journey into what looks to be a very promising future for her.

Julie Lorkovic ($2,000.00 Scholarship Winner)

Congratulations goes out to Julie Lorkovic as the Keith Harris 2011 Fall Semester $2,000.00 scholarship recipient. Julie is from San Antonio and is a freshman at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She is majoring in Communications with a Business Administration minor. Julie continues to be on the Honor Roll year after year with her exceptional grades and devotion to her studies. She has competed across the country with her dance team and has a big heart for volunteering and helping others. She also is involved in many other school sponsored clubs and societies, but yet she is able to still manage her time well in order to keep focused on her classes and grades. In what little spare time Julie has, she enjoys working with children, running, intramural flag football, as well as dance. The TXWA and all its members are proud to be a part of Julie's vision and success as she continues to stride towards her goals.

Brianna Centineo ($1,000.00 Scholarship Winner)

Brianna Centineo is our first two time winner of the TXWA Scholarships that are awarded out each semester. Brianna is this semester's $1,000.00 recipient winner. TXWA is proud to award Brianna this scholarship for a second time. Brianna is from Arlington, Texas and is a sophomore at Dallas Baptist University (DBU) in Dallas. She is majoring in Psychology. Her studies and other campus activities keep her busy throughout the week. Brianna loves to cook and work around children. In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, and most any other physical activity. TXWA and the scholarship committee are thankful to be a continuing part of Brianna's college years. Congratulations once again Brianna.
