The Texas State Wireless Association has established the "TXWA Keith Harris Scholarship Fund."  TXWA hosts numerous charity events to raise money in Keith's honor and is now able to provide scholarships for qualified students. 

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SPRING 2010 TXWA KEITH HARRIS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS:

Austin (Jerald) Emlet - McLennan College, Freshman - TXWA and the scholarship committee are proud to announce Austin as the winner of the 2010 Spring Semester $2,500 recipient of the Keith Harris Scholarship.  TXWA hopes this scholarship will help assist Austin in his future studies as he continues to work for his degree in Communication.

Austin is currently working on his basics and plans to attend Texas A&M University for his junior and senior year.  He is very motivated in his studies and confident in his works.  Austin currently works at a sports store to help off-set his schooling cost.  He is a big fan of outdoor sports and has played baseball most of his life.  His continuing education plans to take him down the path in Communications.  We hope this scholarship is a tremendous stepping stone in Austin's goal of completing his college degree. 

Madalyn Neal - Texas A&M, Junior - TXWA and the scholarship committee are proud to have chosen Madalyn as the 2010 Spring Semester $1,500.00 recipient of the Keith Harris Scholarship.  This scholarship will provide additional financial aid for her continuing studies towards her undergraduate degree. 

Madalyn is working on her degree of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Texas A&M University in College Station. To help support her studies, she also works at the Becky Gates Children Center located there on campus, and is also a teacher’s assistance. She holds an executive position in the organization called “Aggie Sisters for Christ” as well. In the little bit of spare time that she has, Madalyn is very active and enjoys running and volleyball. Each summer her and her family travel outside the United States for missionary work to help and teach the less fortunate. Upon graduation, Madalyn’s desire is to travel back to Africa to teach the orphans and underprivileged kids.
